If you’ve been following me on Twitter you might have seen me use these hashtags, #BLMGirls and #BLMChat, quite often. You probably thought to yourself, “Self, what in the world is a #BLMchat or a #BLMGirl?!” Well get excited, because I have the answers for you.
#BLMGirls is the hashtag used for the Bloggers Like Me Facebook group created by Fashion Du Jour. The group consists of female bloggers (veterans, newbies, and those who want to start blogging but don’t know how) dedicated to the positive exchange of ideas, tips, advice, support, and online and offline networking. We aren’t just a group, we are a community. As a new blogger I have learned so much from the Bloggers Like Me (BLM) ladies, in regards to the world of blogging. However, we just don’t connect over all things blogging. We also congratulate and support one another about job promotions, new babies, marriage, faith, etc.
#BLMChat is a weekly chat I started, and moderate, to give the BLM ladies the opportunity to discuss a blog related topic with one another. We meet every first Thursday of the month at 7:30PM EST (6:30CST/5:30MST/4:30PST). The chat has been very successful, and it has trended on Twitter each time we have had it. The chat serves as a vehicle for those on Twitter to discover the BLM ladies respective blogs, ask questions regarding blogging, make our presence known on Twitter, and provide an opportunity for the global BLM ladies to interact with one another. Yes, I did say global. We fancy, hunh?! Sorry, had to do it. *wink*
I strongly suggest you take the opportunity to check out the Bloggers Like Me group, and/or join our weekly discussion.
Let me know which blogger groups you are apart of, I would love to hear!
XOXO, Miss Foodie Fash!
P.S. If you join Bloggers Like Me you get this fancy schmanzy badge, created by BLM girl Christa, to place on your blog. You know you want one!
